What are Fenceworks Operating Hours?

Monday - Friday: 8am - 5pm

Saturday: 9am - 5pm

Sunday: Closed

Can I get an estimate or ballpark price over the phone?

Fenceworks does not provide any quotes over the phone. Every job site is different; therefore, we must visit your home to ensure the accuracy of your quote.

Do I have to be home during an estimate?

Yes. It is very important that a Fenceworks representative meets with you, to discuss any questions you or the salesman have regarding the fence.

Does Fenceworks take down and haul away old fences?

Yes. Fenceworks will take down and haul away your old fence for an additional charge.

Does Fenceworks have a showroom?

We do have an indoor showroom in Northbrook. 3177 MacArthur Blvd. Northbrook, IL 60062.

Can I get an estimate by coming to your showroom?

No. There is no salesperson on site to provide you with a quote. This is why we offer a free in-home estimate. You are welcome to visit our showroom to see the styles or pick up a fence catalog.

What cities do you provide service to? (Fence Department Only)

Bannockburn, Buffalo Grove (Lake County Only), Chicago (North Side only, from Madison Ave to Howard St and East of Central Ave), Deerfield, Evanston, Fort Sheridan, Glencoe, Glenview, Highland Park, Highwood, Kenilworth, Lake Bluff, Lake Forest, Lincolnshire, Lincolnwood, Morton Grove, Niles, Northbrook, Northfield, Park Ridge, Riverwoods, Skokie, Wilmette, and Winnetka.

What are the payment options for placing an order?

We require a 1/2 down deposit when you sign a contract with the balance due upon completion. We take Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Check or Cash.

Do I need a building permit?

Depending on where you live, and what you are doing, you may need a building permit. Your Fenceworks representative can advise you once on site.

What are the rules and regulations regarding fencing in my city?

Every suburb and city has different codes and height limitations. Let your Fenceworks representative explain what you can and cannot do.

Is Fenceworks Licensed?

Yes. Fenceworks is Licensed, Bonded and insured with the suburbs and cities we work with.

How do I know where my property lines are?

You should have a plat of survey for your home. Fenceworks will install the Fence according to the Plat, unless otherwise noted by the customer.

Who is responsible for locating underground utility wires?

Fenceworks will call J.U.L.I.E (Joint Utility Locating Information for Excavators) for the customer. J.U.L.I.E will only mark public utilities: gas, electric, phone, water, and cable. J.U.L.I.E will not mark any private underground lines: sprinkler systems, invisible dog fence, private electric or gas lines. Therefore, private lines must be marked by the customer prior to installation.

Is there a fee for a fence consultation?

NO! All consultations are free.

What are the instillation times?

Depending on material and time of season, install times will vary. Your estimator will go over current lead times with you during your consultation.

Swing Sets

What would you need to hear from the customer that would make you say a Playground won’t work with their layout/backyard?

If the yard has more than a few inches grade to it than some landscaping might need to be done.

Once you identify the size of the actual playground being placed, what other considerations to “space” should we consider when determining if a certain playground is the right “fit” (best) for their backyard?

Depending on the yard some playsets will work while others won't. You need to know the actual size of the area to make an informed recommendation.

Trampolines

What would you need to hear from the customer that would make you say a trampoline won’t work with their layout/backyard?

If they have morethan a few inches of variance.

How many children at a time on Fenceworks trampolines?

Maximum 4 children on at a time.

Can you leave the trampline in your yard all year long?

Yes!

Is there a warranty on the trampolines?

The warranty is Lifetime on the Steel trampoline frame and safety enclosure poles.10 years on the
jumping mat.5 years on the Springs. 10 yearson the safety enclosure netting. 5 years for the frame pad and 1 year on allother components.

Does Fenceworks provide service calls for trampolines?

We provide service calls for trampolines that we’vesold. The price for the service call is $250 dollars. Any parts needed will be extra.

When/what situation or city would we need a permit for installation?

If you live inthe city of Winnetka,you do need a permit for our installers to install a trampoline.

Does it come with a ladder?

No but we have them in stock for purchase.

What are the benefits of the Double Bounce?

The power bounce add-on is additional springs that we can put on the top mat. It’s 64 additional
springs that will add tension to the mat. Kids that like gymnastics tend to love the power bounce because it helpsthe with their tricks.

Are the certain cities that have special requirements that we should be aware of?

There may be distance fees for delivery please inquire through our estimate or contact forms.

How much concrete do we put in the ground, how large of a hole is dug out (diameter), how many pounds of concrete, anything else to know?

It’s an 18” diameter and we go 4’ feet into the ground. It’s a little over 900 pounds of concrete that we
pour.

What is the installation process like? What is the first visit included vs the second visit? How much time in between visits does it take? How will the customer know when Barry (basketball installer) is coming? How does communication work on the installation process?

The waythe installation works for our basketball hoops is multiple days. The 1st day they go out toyour home and dig the hole to pour the concrete footing. They will return about a week later to then put up the basketball system. We give it a week because its recommended to let the concrete cure for at least 72 hours.
