Fence Installation & Backyard Projects in Golf, IL
Sep 03, 2025
Tucked between Glenview and Morton Grove, Golf is a small, close-knit village known for its quiet residential streets, established homes, and spacious properties. For homeowners here, a well-designed fence can do more than mark a property line. It can create privacy, give pets a secure place to roam, define outdoor spaces, and complement the character of your home.
Fenceworks has been helping Chicagoland homeowners improve their properties since 1967. As a family-owned company led by third-generation owner Jake Stotter, we guide Golf homeowners through every step of a fence project, from selecting the right material to professional installation and long-term support. We take the time to understand your property and recommend a fence that fits both the way you use your yard and the look of your home.

Fence Options for Golf Homeowners
Golf's older homes and tighter lot lines call for materials that hold up well and fit the character of the village. Here are some fences that tend to work best for the area:
- Vinyl fencing stays low-maintenance and holds up well through Chicago winters without repainting or staining.
- Aluminum fencing offers an industrial look that works well for pool enclosures without blocking sightlines.
- Wood fencing brings a classic, warm look that suits Golf's older, tree-lined streets.
- Composite fencing combines the look of wood with less upkeep over time.
- Chain link fencing is a practical option for containment and boundary lines.

Fence Repair & Maintenance
A fence around your Golf home must withstand year-round outdoor conditions, including rain, snow, freezing temperatures, and fluctuating moisture levels. Over time, even a well-built fence can develop loose posts, damaged boards, leaning sections, or worn hardware.
Besides professional fence installation, Fenceworks provides fence repair and maintenance services to help keep your existing fence functional and looking its best.
Depending on the condition of the fence, repairs may include replacing damaged sections, addressing loose or leaning components, repairing gates, or addressing other areas that have deteriorated over time.
If your fence is showing signs of age but does not need to be completely replaced, our team can help you determine whether targeted repairs make sense for your Golf property.
More Ways to Enjoy Your Golf Area Backyard
